Prime Energy is pleased to introduce its new MOGP Installation Manager, Meliza Atienza who assumed the role on October 1, 2024. Meliza is no stranger to Prime Energy, she first joined Malampaya as the first female Operations Engineer for Shell Philippines in 2006. She quickly rose through the ranks and transitioned from Shell to Prime Energy as Malampaya’s Underwater Services and Pipelines Team Lead in 2022  

Meliza also led the first GEP intelligent pigging of the Malampaya pipeline in 2008, and the implementation of smart plug technology on 2010. She moved to the Underwater Services Team in 2011 and was promoted to Senior Subsea Engineer in 2016 where her exemplary performance led to the delivery of numerous intervention campaigns and innovative flowline procedures, including a ground breaking 820-meter intervention project. In 2018 she became the Underwater Services and Pipeline Team Lead, responsible for ensuring the integrity and availability of Malampaya’s 504 km subsea pipeline. 

Meliza is has a Technical Authority 2 (TA2) certification for subsea Operations and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Mapua Institute of Technology.
